Biography:

Dr. Khalid Mahmood, a distinguished scholar in the field of computer science, holds a Ph.D. from the International Islamic University in Islamabad, Pakistan, awarded in 2018. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Future Technology Research Center at National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Yunlin, Taiwan. Dr. Mahmood's expertise and contributions to the field have earned him recognition as one of the top 2% scientists globally, as acknowledged by Stanford University.
With a focus on lightweight authenticated and key agreement solutions, Dr. Mahmood's research spans various infrastructures, including smart grids, the Internet of Drones (IoD), the Internet of Things (IoT), vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET), mobile edge computing, and blockchain technologies.
Throughout his illustrious academic career, Dr. Mahmood has authored over 80 SCI/E indexed articles, garnering more than 1900 citations and demonstrating the impact of his research. He is an approved supervisor by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and has successfully guided over 15 graduate students in their research pursuits.
In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Dr. Mahmood has been honored with the Prestigious Young Productive Scientist Award by the Pakistan Council for Science and Technology in 2017. He has recently received accolades such as the Productive Researcher Award and Newcomer Productive Researcher Award at the National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Yunlin, Taiwan.
As a Senior Member of IEEE and an ACM Professional Member, Dr. Mahmood continues to advance the field of computer science, establishing himself as a leading figure in academia with his dedication to excellence in research and scholarship.

Mainly focusiong on designing modern encryption schemes that allow users to perform certain operations on encrypted data as if they were unencrypted.

Privacy Enhancing Technologies

Looking at the various ways cryptography can be used to promote user privacy and still trying to understand why it is so difficult to achieve in real life.

Developing security and privacy-preserving protocols for a wide range of networks and systems.
